    Daewoo Nubira idle stepper motor

    Daewoo Daewoo Advice Daewoo Nubira Daewoo Nubira Advice Daewoo Nubira 2000
    My 2000 Daewoo Nubira has started to idle at around 2000 rpm. I purchased and fitted a new idle motor, but it still idles between 1500 and 2000 rpm ? I am getting conflicting advice as to whether to take it to an auto electrician or a mechanic ? Do you have any advice as to the cause and remedy?

    The idle stepper motor would seem to be an obvious cause of the problem, but look at doing things like cleaning the throttle body and making sure there are no vacuum leaks, which can sometimes cause a high idle speed. If you want to get it checked take it to a mechanic, the problem is more likely to be mechanical than electrical.
