Rotten eggs

I HAVE a 2002 Volvo S40 and use only Shell fuel. I mostly use PULP but sometimes I use regular ULP. After a trip I sometimes notice a rotten-egg smell about the car, and it can be with either fuel. Is it a fuel problem or a mechanical problem?

I can't be sure but it sounds as if your catalytic converter isn't working. You'll notice a rotten-egg smell if your converter has failed. Ask your dealer to check it out.
