New Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer 2019 pricing and spec detailed: Valiant Pacer 1969 tribute touches down next year

Powered by a 350kW/637Nm 6.4-litre petrol V8, the Chrysler 300 SRT Pacer pays homage to the 1969 Valiant Pacer.

Chrysler’s 300 SRT Pacer tribute car will hit local showrooms next year priced from $69,950 before on-road costs and will be limited to just 50 units.

A model year 2019 vehicle, the Pacer is based on the 300 SRT Core that retails for $65,950, and slots in below the top-spec $74,950 300 SRT.

What differentiates the Pacer tribute car from the rest of the 300 SRT line-up are three distinct colours – Bright White, Gloss Black and Ceramic Grey – while the exterior is also adorned with unique badging, and a red and black motif, which pays homage to the original 1969 Valiant Pacer.

Inside, the changes amount to ‘Pacer 392’ sills and floor mats, while a special numbered plaque can also be found on the centre console and under the bonnet – the latter also hiding a 6.4-litre Hemi V8 engine.

Outputs in the new Pacer match its 300 SRT siblings, with 350kW of power and 637Nm of torque sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
