    The ST-Line is the second rung up in Ford's new Focus range, starting from $28,990. It is also available as a wagon, priced from $30,990.

    The ST-Line has a sportier bent than the Trend below it and Titanium above it. What sets this model most apart from the rest of the range is the sports-tuned independent rear suspension. The ST-Line variants also rides 10mm lower than the Trend.

    Despite its hot-hatch looks the ST-Line uses the same 1.5-litre 134kW/240Nm three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine as the rest of the Focus range. All Focuses have eight-speed torque converter transmissions. Ford rates fuel consumption at 6.4L/100km.

    Standard equipment that the ST-Line gains over the base Trend includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, auto-folding and heated wing-mirrors, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry with push-start a Qi (Chee) wireless phone charging pad, a tyre-pressure monitoring system and sportier trim additions inside and out.

    The ST-Line has automatic emergency braking (AEB), lane keep assist (LKAS) with lane departure warning (LDW), a 180-degree reversing camera and rear parking sensors as standard.

    Active cruise control with stop & go, blind spot monitoring (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert can be added as part of a safety pack priced at $1250.

    The Focus range was awarded a maximum five ANCAP safety stars as of December 2018.

    The wagon gains roof rails and a tonneau cover over the hatch, with a max storage capacity of 1653 litres.
